Where are the Foundations of the Earth?
- So, since we know what the foundation of the earth is (Gravity), we now know where the foundations of the earth are;
- The foundations of the earth are gravity in the firmament (outer space or the 2nd Heaven) created on Day 2 of creation.
- Another Bible Verse Confirming Where the Foundations of the Earth is:
- Jeremiah 31:37 Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.
- Searched out BENEATH is another confirmation of Gravity being the Foundations of the Earth.
- Why? Because God is saying again like in Job that no one can search it out…
- If heaven above can be measured?
- Why? Again this is another rhetorical question from God saying it’s impossible to measure the 2nd heaven.
- The first heaven can and has been measured. So the verse cannot be talking about that heaven.
- Why? Again this is another rhetorical question from God saying it’s impossible to measure the 2nd heaven.
- Lastly, let’s look at the end of the verse: “I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done”
- We know God will NOT cast off all the seed of Israel because of his covenant to Abraham
- Genesis 17:7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
- We know God will NOT cast off all the seed of Israel because of his covenant to Abraham
- God is making a rhetorical statement: if either of A or B can be measured or searched out I WILL cast off C.
- “A” meaning heaven above the earth (Firmament/2nd heaven/outer space) .
- “B” meaning “foundations of the earth” beneath the whole earth.
- “C” meaning all the future seed (generations) of Israel.
Lastly, let’s tackle the most intriguing/interesting question of the three I stated: WHEN…. The answer I found in the Bible to this question blew me away with the amount of detail the Bible provided to this question when I searched the scripture.
